An "ochoko" is a small cup used to enjoy sake, and is often used as a set with a "tokkuri" sake bottle. An "ochoko" traditionally has a wide mouth and tapers down to the bottom of the cup. It typically holds just enough sake to be drunk in one sip. It is said that the taste of sake changes depending on the material of the sake cup used when drinking it. To fully enjoy the smooth, soft flavor of Japanese rice wine, we recommend using a porcelain "ochoko".
